A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. When you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to answer.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service records standard technical details such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps us maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement may rely on cookies or similar technology.
How Information Is Used
Technical and submitted information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, page improvement, and responses to messages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create personal profiles of individual users.
External Websites and Tools
Links lead to Illinois and Cook County portals, Lansing offices, archives, libraries, and third-party search services. Information sent to an external site is governed by that provider's privacy policy. This includes data entered for sponsored results.

Companies that host or support the service may process ordinary server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, we do not disclose it.
Data Security and Retention
An encrypted connection protects traffic in transit, and logs are kept only for as long as operational purposes require. Since visitors do not create accounts, this service stores no user password or account profile.

This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted information so it can be removed.
Requests About Your Data
Your place of residence may give you rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data held by a website. Illinois does not currently have one comprehensive consumer privacy statute comparable to the broad laws adopted by some states, though specific state and federal protections may still apply. Because we keep little data, a request generally involves checking contact messages and available logs. Send requests through the Contact page. Public records held by the Village of Lansing, Cook County, or Illinois agencies are controlled by those custodians, and any correction or removal request must go to the responsible office.
